How to Do It
Light a candle.
Grab a small piece of paper and write down one thing you’ve been criticizing yourself for lately.
Don’t overthink it. Just whatever rises first. Maybe something about your body, your timing, your emotions, your productivity. Let it come through.
Now hold that paper.
Take a deep breath and say, “I see the pain underneath this thought. I choose compassion instead.”
Then tear it up, or safely burn it if that feels empowering.
As the paper releases, imagine the criticism dissolving. Smoke turning into softness, ashes into forgiveness.
